Do you have a date for the 2023 Tassie Indie Book Fair?

Yes! We’re excited to announce the Book Fair is scheduled for Saturday, May 13th, 2023, from 10 am – 3pm!

Where is the Tassie Indie Author Book Fair being held?

The event will be held indoors, downstairs, at the Brooke Street Pier.

What’s an Indie author? Are they self-published? How are they different from the mainstream publishers?

We love this question! We get it a lot actually. You can find the answer here. At the event this year, we have both self-published authors, as well as hybrid authors.

Where can I park for the event?

Here is a map of parking locations around the event. The event will be at the Brook Street Pier.

Will there be giveaways and prizes on the day?

Yes! We will have multiple giveaways! This is always a big hit with our visitors.

Will there be any new books launching on the day of the book fair?

We hope so but we’ll have more information about that, closer to the event.

Will you have Eftpos available or is it cash only?

Each author will collect sales for their own books. It will be up to the author whether they will accept Eftpos or cash only.

There is an ATM at the venue and we will point that out to visitors should they need it.

Which Tasmanian authors will be attending?

We will post information, as to which authors will be attending, closer to the event.

Where can you buy the author’s books if you can’t attend to the Book Fair?

On our Tasmanian Indie Authors page, you’ll find links to the author’s websites and/or social pages. Our local Tasmanian bookshops, including Fullers Bookshop and The Hobart Book Shop stock many of the Tasmanian Indie Author’s books. (And if they don’t have what you’re looking for, just ask. They’re happy to order the book in for you.)
